• Marist Arts Guild

  The Marist Arts Guild plays a critical role in promoting excellence and opportunity in all areas of fine arts education and important extracurricular activities that are a part of the fabric of Marist School.  We provide advocacy as well as financial and volunteer support for the Fine Arts Department, including instrumental music, choral music, visual arts, drama and dance.

  The funds we raise provide instruments, uniforms and choral attire, much needed supplies, facility improvements and awards for student achievement.  Parents help build sets for dramatic productions in Woodruff Auditorium, fit uniforms for the War Eagle Marching Band, drive buses and vans, load sets and instruments, mount exhibits, sew costumes and flags, prepare and serve refreshments, usher, help with filing and phone calls, and organize volunteers.

• Marist Booster Club

  The Booster Club helps maintain excellence for all Marist athletic programs through financial and volunteer support.  The financial support supplements the athletic budget to provide the best equipment and training for our student-athletes.  Numerous volunteers assist in Marist's sixy-nine athletic opportunities.

  The funds raised through the efforts of many Booster Club volunteers help to enable our student-athletes have the proper equipment and training facilities when they participate in athletics.  This funding is obtained through membership, fundraisers (Golf and Tennis Tournaments, Celebrity Roast, and Marist Auction), and athletic concession stands.
  
  In addition to providing the sports banquets for all varsity and junior varsity student-athletes, the Booster Club sponsors the Scholar-Athlete and Dean Hargis award programs.  The recipient of the Scholar-Athlete Award is chosen for his or her exemplary academic achievement and is presented a plaque, certificate, and a patch at his or her team banquet.  A male and a female overall Scholar-Athlete are chosen from the senior scholar-athletes and are recognized at the end of the year senior assembly.  The Dean Hargis Award recognizes the senior male and female athletes who have made outstanding contributions to Marist School through leadership, dedication and perseverance.

  All Marist Women Build homes have been built for families with a single mother as head of the household which supports the MWB vision of homes built by women for women. MWB works in partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
  

   

  We invite all women associated with Marist to help us raise money and build a house in 8 days, whether they join us for one day or several! Mothers and daughters are encouraged to build together and one build day is dedicated to mothers and sons building together.

  Marist Mother’s Prayer Group

  Mothers of all faiths gather together to pray for the needs of the Marist Community. Marist Mother’s Prayer Group offers community prayer requests, monthly meetings with faith-related speakers, weekly rosary and email meditations, a bible study, and an annual retreat.

  Marist Men’s Bible Study

  Open to men of all faiths and ages with a variety of Marist connections, the group meets Tuesday mornings from 7-8 a.m. The Men’s Bible Study has created the Driving Force ministry, which transports people on Sundays from local MARTA stations to Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption.

  Campus Ministry guides students on their faith journey throughout their time at Marist School, providing opportunities for service, leadership, retreats, Mass, and prayer.

  Community Service

  To be Marist is to reach out to the community to help the poor, the neglected, the underserved, and those on the fringes of society. All members of the Marist School community can participate in a wide variety of service opportunities.

  Alumni Service and Spirituality

  Alumni are encouraged continue their spiritual growth after leaving Marist School. The Marist Alumni Association offers alumni opportunities for spiritual education, community service, retreats, prayer groups, and social gatherings.

  Centro Hispano Marista

  The Center for Hispanic Young Adult Education and Faith Formation, founded by the Society of Mary in 2012, offers young, Hispanic adults the opportunity to obtain their GEDs. Volunteer instructors and other classroom volunteers are welcomed during Tuesday evening sessions September through May.

  Reach for Excellence

  Founded by the Society of Mary, Reach for Excellence is a tuition-free academic and leadership enrichment program that changes the lives of underserved middle school students. Volunteer opportunities are open to students, parents, and community members.

• Families in Action

  Families In Action celebrates two decades at Marist this fall with focus on safer social guidelines for our students and effective communication among our parents. Over the years, Families In Action has grown into a strong tradition of Marist parents sharing concerns about issues involving the health and safety of their children. Our goal is to become attuned to the challenges facing our teens today and to address our children and each other with a unified voice. We seek to provide a safe, healthy, and chemical-free environment in which our children may develop.

  As a standing committee of Marist Parents' Club, we are working together with the school administration to enhance communication among our parents. Our parent workshops are designed to give parents valuable information and techniques for dealing with current issues involving our teens. Small group sessions are facilitated by trained Marist parents.
  
  We are very proud to be a member of the (NAPC) North Atlanta Parents' Council, representing several schools in the metro area that support area families in rearing healthy, responsible, and productive young people.
