Academic Team

OVERVIEW
The Marist Academic Team offers an opportunity to display one's knowledge of a wide variety of academic topics and to learn about topics of interest. Practices involve question and answer items. All disciplines are represented in these questions. The team competes in a number of tournaments throughout the year, beginning in September and concluding in March with the State Championship or in May with the National Championship.

If you are interested in learning more about the Academic Team at Marist, please contact Varsity head coach Kevin Mullally at mullallyk@marist.com.

Academic Team Online Resources
A searchable question database. Let's you find multiple questions on the same topic from multiple tournaments.

A site that posts a lot of really good questions. Just reading these will make you smarter!

A multi-player site that 'reads' questions for you. You can create a private room by changing /lobby to something else, like /marist. This is the most useful way to study as you can then filter the questions by category and difficulty.

A comprehensive list of study material that includes basic descriptions.

A list of the most common things that come up in questions by category.

Another site for lots of good questions.

Similar to the above, these are study packets on common things that come up in questions by topic. You can also register for summer quiz bowl camp through this site!

Here are 'flash cards' of many of the facts from the above two sites. You can quiz yourself to make sure you know them!

Once you use these resources, contribute to our team Wiki!
