Applying as A Better Chance Scholar
Marist School participates as a member school in A Better Chance (ABC), a school referral service noted for its work with students of color. An ABC scholar is encouraged to learn about the philosophy and programs of Marist School by visiting our campus for all admissions activities and reviewing our website. If you are interested in submitting an application, please submit the abbreviated Marist application as outlined below. Applications cannot be considered without receipt of all required materials listed. We will match our application materials with the ABC referral for your child.
As you note the variety of forms to be completed and the number of questions to be answered, we understand that applying to a school can appear to be a time-consuming, and sometimes intimidating, process. But remember one thing: behind the forms and questions is a single purpose–our getting to know your child as a distinct individual. We seek to evaluate each candidate as a unique person.
Please note that our application deadline for the 2012-2013 academic year was January 27, 2012. Any application received after this date will automatically be placed in the waitpool. Applicants in the waitpool will only be considered if spaces remain after April 19, 2012.
An application to Marist School as A Better Chance Scholar consists of three parts, two of which can be completed online.
- As the first step, please complete our Request for Information form.
- Complete the Online Application by January 27th. Use the "Apply Now" button found at bottom of this page. This part of the application provides us with your demographic information as well as the responses to our parent questions.
- Download the Additional Requirements Package for A Better Chance Scholars: This package includes instructions, student questionnaire, release of records, parish/church verification form, and fee/photo submission form.
