Marist School

Mr. Byrne has worked in education for more than 15 years. He began his teaching career at St. Patrick’s College, a Marist secondary school in New Zealand where he taught math, religion, and business studies as well as serving as a boarding master. He returned to Marist School in 1991 as a member of the Math Department and as a basketball coach, soccer coach, and retreat leader. Mr. Byrne was Director of Admissions from 1999 – 2004 and then returned to the classroom full time to teach Pre-algebra and Algebra 1. In 2006, he returned to the Admissions Office as the Director. Mr. Byrne has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia. Jim is married and enjoys coaching his two children in whatever sport is in season.

Ms. Elledge has worked in education at Marist School since 1994. She began teaching in the Religion Department and Campus Ministry, working with the Peer Leader, Peer Support, and Retreat Programs and the Varsity swim team. Angela returned to work in the Admissions Office in 2005. Ms. Elledge has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia.

Mrs. Harworth has more than 25 years of experience in the education field. Her experience includes working in Admissions, Human Resources, Assistant to the Head of School, and working in the day-to-day operations of a school. In her current position she is the main contact for children and parents interested in learning about Marist and how to apply to become a member of the Marist community. Linda has a degree from West Virginia Junior College.
