The Booster Club is a volunteer organization comprised of Marist parents who help maintain excellence for all Marist athletic programs through financial support and event sponsorships. This financial support supplements the athletic budget to provide the best equipment and training for our student-athletes. This money is obtained through Booster Club membership, athletic event concession stand sales and fundraisers such as the Golf and Tennis Tournament and Auction. The Booster Club offers numerous membership levels for all to participate and volunteers are always welcome.
Every school year, approximately 85% of Marist's student body participate in athletics. Marist athletic teams have been able to maintain excellence at the regional and state level through the dedication of coaches, work ethic of the student-athletes, parental support and Booster Club efforts. The money raised through the efforts of many Booster Club volunteers, helps to enable our student-athletes to have the proper equipment and training facilities whennthey participate in athletics and for coaches to have the resources needed to put forth strong, competitive teams.
How has the Booster Club supported Marist School? The Booster Club's financial support was a major source of funding for the following recent purchases, awards, endowments and services; * Baseball Field Scoreboard * All Sports Indoor Training Facility (Baseball, Softball, Wrestling and PE) * Hughes Spalding Stadium Home-Side Concession Stand Renovations * Hughes Spalding Stadium Home-Side Rest Rooms Renovations * Netting for Soccer Fields * Softball Concession Stand Renovations * Numerous Extra Items for Teams Beyond their Individual Team Budgets
Additionally, Booster Club funding supports the sports banquets for varsity student-athletes and annually sponsors the Scholar-Athlete Award, Dean Hargis Award and Senior Participation Awards.
