The next Foundations social is December 14. Dinner will be served in the cafeteria. After dinner, students will go to Kuhrt Gym for the rest of the evening. The cost of the social is $10, which is to be paid upon arrival. We are making plans based on all Foundations students being in attendance. If for some reason your child cannot attend the social, please email Mrs. Ellis at ellisj@marist.com so that we know he/she will not be in attendance that evening and can plan accordingly for dinner. The Foundations House Council has been working hard to make this social as fun for our students as the last social.

During Advent, the Marist Foundations students will collect money by Foundations House to buy Christmas gifts for a family in Pass Christian, Mississippi who suffered much loss because of Hurricane Katrina. A group of eighth graders met this family during their Mission trip in October 2007. As each homeroom collects $5, representatives will attach a piece of holly to their Foundation House’s Christmas wreath. The wreaths will be displayed in the Foundations Homerooms Hallway. As we draw near the end of Advent, we hope to see our wreaths covered with holly!
