Congratulations Mrs. Dozier
Stars must shine, and that is what Mrs. Mary Dozier does every day. During the 2006-2007 school year, Mrs. Dozier volunteered on the Habitat for Humanity Women Build. She wrote cards and letters to those on Marist Retreats, served lunches at the Men’s Shelter of Atlanta, and visited the elderly and shut-ins. Our students and staff know that she greets each and every person that passes through the Marist Café with a smile. Mary always has an ear to listen and a prayer to offer for those in need. During the month of May, many students, staff, and parents nominated Mrs. Dozier for the Be A Star Award of the Year. Thanks to those many cards, e-mails, and testimonials, Mrs. Dozier won the Chartwells Southeast Hourly Associate Be A Star Award for 2007. Mrs. Dozier’s light outshined more than 1,000 other associates. She and her husband Reginald flew (all expenses paid) to the Walt Disney Resort for three days during November. During this time she enjoyed fine dining, saw a fabulous show, and was a part of the Disney magic. So please join the Chartwells Staff in congratulating Mrs. Mary Dozier for a job well done.

YAC Meeting
During the October 4 meeting, the Café Council discussed and approved new premium items to be added to the Marist Café Menu. Items include salmon, tilapia, rib-eye steak, roasted pork loin, and grilled chicken. These premium items are being added with a selection of a side dish such as bleu cheese mashed potatoes, spring mix, three-potato hash, sweet potato soufflé, and a host of other fresh vegetables. The production of burgers and cookies has been increased.

Café Line
On October 1, a new cooler was added to the line to ensure the proper volume of Powerade and water is available throughout the lunch periods. On October 15, both the hot and cold side items were increased to six per day. Additional chip racks have also been added, including one at the Sandwich Central Line. Each station is now a true destination station.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any comments or suggestions, please forward them to: clarkp@marist.com and they will be reviewed at the next YAC Meeting on Jan. 16.
