Thank you from the Parents’ Club
On behalf of the Marist School Parents’ Club, of which we are all members, we would like to thank each and every one for the amazing support and contributions given to the reception honoring Fr. Egan the evening of January 17. The dinner came together with the true spirit of our faith and commitment to providing all we each could in an effort to show unity and love for his family and friends. The tremendous outpouring of generosity was truly humbling.
With grateful hearts for your continued support,
Tammy Connell and Marcia Shurley,
Co-Presidents

Call for Baccalaureate Reception Volunteers
If you are interested in helping with the Baccalaureate Reception on May 24 or the Graduation Reception on May 25, please email Peggie Jackson or Mimi Dukes. In order to make both of these events special for the graduating class and their families, many volunteers are needed. Thanks for your help.
Vocations Program
Many parents and alumni have expressed their willingness to promote the Society of Mary. A workshop is being planned March 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to answer questions you may have about vocations and to offer practical advice about “what to do.” More information to follow.
Foundations Social
The Foundations Social will be held February 15 on Marist’s campus from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $10. Dinner will be served.
Congratulations
Congratulations to 2008 All State Band Member Ben Hoffmann! Ben was selected this week to perform in the Georgia Music Educators’ All State Band in Savannah in March. Auditioners must go through two grueling rounds before the final state-wide selection process. Students must perform scales, solo literature and sight reading examples in front of a panel of judges at the school, district and state levels before being chosen to participate in the band. Ben placed 14th among the states’ thousands of high school clarinet players who began the process of trying out for this outstanding group back in October. Commendable job, Ben!
