Crucifix Project
Marist is looking for representations of our Catholic faith in crucifixes and crosses that have cultural and/or ethnic significance to hang in the classrooms. The goal is to have as many ethnic groups and cultures represented as possible. This is a long term project as there are 70 classrooms. Crucifixes/crosses must be 15 to 24 inches tall, have artistic merit representative of some national ethnic heritage or tradition different from standard crucifixes, and must include a description/history including its ethnic/cultural origin. The description will be included in an accompanying plaque. It must also be without jewel or ornamentation. Please contact Teresa Gaskin (404-841-8274 or tessgaskin@bellsouth.net) or Sharon Bowman (404-851-9605 or sharon.bowman@comcast.net) for more information.
