Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences: Wednesday, April 28, 2010 - 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Parent-Teacher-Student conferences will, once again, be scheduled online. Please login to the Marist website for instructions on logging into the Parent / Student / Teacher Reservation System. Interim academic reports will be available online Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Conferences are by appointment only.
Online scheduling times: Noon Wednesday, April 21, 2010 until 11:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010. Students must attend with parents.
Summer is coming! Please check out the summer camp offerings at Marist. In addition to the thirteen athletic camps, there is also an SAT/PSAT/ACT Math prep class being offered. Camps are offered from June 7th through July 30th. The website link is: www.marist.com/summerprograms

Demographics Sheets and Course Request Verification Forms were distributed to students on Friday, March 26 in homeroom.
Please make any changes needed on the· Demographic Sheet and return to us. There is a check box if all information is correct; please return the sheet even if no change is needed. This is the information that will be printed in the directory next August.
Course requests will be used for· building the master schedule and scheduling the students. If your child’s Course Verification Form reflects errors or omissions, those need to be handled now. Students with incomplete schedules who want a permissions course should consult with the teacher. Students who had permission for a course and did not select it, may have lost their seats. They need to verify with the teacher that there is still room. Modern and Classical Language placements for rising 8th graders have not been completed so there may be changes in that. If so, you will be notified by email. The counselors or I have to make all changes to requests at this time.
Deadline for the return of both forms is April 6, 2010. Thanks for your help in planning for next year.

Marist Tour of Homes
Please mark your calendars for Friday, May 7, for the 2010 Tour of Homes, featuring four Marist families' beautiful homes in Buckhead. Laura and Jim Ulam, Beth and Jeff Ervin, Sheri and Bo Hardin, and Bo and Andrea Jones will graciously open their homes for this wonderful Marist tradition.
The tour will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Friday of Mother’s Day weekend, so bring your mom or someone special to this fantastic spring event. Tickets are $38 each and include a delicious boxed lunch that can be enjoyed in the Hardin's lovely garden. Tickets are now available for purchase online at maristtourofhomes.eventbrite.com.
The Parents Club invites all parents to help sponsor and support the Tour of Homes by being a Parent Patron. For $100, Parent Patrons receive two tickets to the Tour, an Out-of-Uniform Day for their students and recognition in the Home Tour program. Look for the Parent Patron insert in April’s print newsletter. Patron sponsorships can also be purchased online at maristtourofhomes.eventbrite.com. Business owners, you can support the tour as well as promote your business! Your logo will appear on the Tour of Homes Web site where tickets are sold and in the Tour Program which serves as the admission ticket and map. Once again, the Home Tour will hold a tuition raffle. The winner is awarded one year of full tuition for the winning family's oldest child enrolled for the 2010-2011 school year. The tickets, two per family at $100 each, will be mailed to your home the week of March 15. The purchase of one or both tickets by April 7 makes your family eligible for an out-of-uniform day. We need parent volunteers to help us welcome New Parents. Remember how many questions you had once your child was accepted to Marist? If you are willing to make a few phone calls over the summer to make a family's transition into the Marist community a little easier, then we need YOU! Project Graduation Plans Action-Packed Night for Seniors
Junior parents—if you haven’t already, please contact Katie Trapani @ firstname.lastname@example.org or Rebecca Williams at email@example.com to volunteer for a shift during the evening of Project Graduation. We want to make sure we have plenty of parents to ensure the Class of 2010 has a fun and safe evening. Remember, Graduation is May 22, and the party begins that night at 11:00 (10:30 for volunteers) and goes until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. It will take a lot of chaperones to cover the evening. This is not Memorial Day weekend, so we are asking all junior parents to participate.
Senior parents—if you have not filled out a waiver form for the evening, you must do so in order for your student to be able to attend Project Graduation. To download the form click here. In celebration of Asian History Month the Atlanta Chinese Dance Company will be on campus Thursday, April 8th during Activity Period. Their performances include classical Chinese dance styles, ethnic folk dances, and adaptations of modern dance dramas. The Atlanta Chinese Dance Company was created to promote the development, advancement, and appreciation of Chinese dance and culture in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Back by popular demand! There will be another MOSAIC meeting to discuss issues related to sexual orientation on Wednesday, April 14 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Specific topics include a discussion of sexual bullying and a discussion of how various religions view homosexuality.
