Student Activities to welcome new Marist families: My job is to make sure that your child is getting involved and to help them find their place at Marist. Please feel free to contact me through email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone (770-936-3569) at any time. I am looking forward to meeting all the new Marist students and working with them throughout the next few years!
Student Activities This Month: Interested in Leadership Opportunities? Each Class Council will be looking for additional leaders (one per homeroom) to join their Class Officers to help make plans for their grade for the upcoming year. The Homeroom Representative Applications for students in grades 9 through 12 will be available the first day of school. Please come by Mrs. Weston’s office in the cafeteria to pick up an application. Applications are due Wednesday, September 1 by 3:00 p.m. Make being a Homeroom Representative the first thing you get involved in during the 2010-2011 school year. With 32 homerooms, there are 32 spaces available. Don’t miss out on this great leadership opportunity!
Activity Fairs begin during Activity Period this month. The 9th and 10th grades activity fair is on September 9, and the 11th and 12th grades activity fair is on September 16. Please ask your child what he or she plans to get involved in at Marist this year. For a full list of all available activities, please visit the Marist website.
We have our first Pep Rally on September 3 for the Tucker game! What a fun way to kick off the school year! Parents attending may be seated after all students and teachers are seated.
Did your child have an amazing experience this summer at a camp, college course, conference, or other program? I would love to hear all about it! Please email me at email@example.com and let me know.
A Look Ahead: Homecoming 2010 will be here before we know it. The Student Council has already been working hard to make this year’s homecoming an event to remember! Mark your calendars for October 22 and 23. Please note it is not necessary to have a date to the dance. Younger students, especially 9th graders, are encouraged to come in groups rather than with dates.
