Marist New Parent Support Volunteers Needed
Time has come again to ask if you would please consider becoming a Marist New Parent Support volunteer. The Marist New Parents Support Program was established for current parents to contact the parents of all new students entering Marist in the fall. Experience has shown that the new parents have as many questions and concerns as the new students.
We handle communication with our volunteers entirely via mail and e-mail, no meetings! Thank you in advance for welcoming new families to our Marist community.

Marist Tour of Homes
Friday, May 11: Marist Tour of Homes
Four beautiful Chastain Park-area homes and poolside luncheon: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Wednesday, March 28: Non-uniform day
Give your kids a break from wearing that uniform and at the same time do something really nice for yourself AND Marist School. All you have to do to accomplish all three things at once (multitasking at its best) and participate in the non-uniform day is:
1. Complete a ticket order form and send in with your child/children on March 28, along with a check made payable to the Marist Parents' Club for $35 per ticket purchased. Click
here to access the form. Or, feel free to complete and send in the ticket order form along with your check right now while you are thinking about it, per the instructions on the form. We will keep a running list of all participants in order to check off your child/children on the March 28th non-uniform day.
Another way to purchase your tickets to the Marist Tour of Homes is through our Eventbrite Site. Click
here for access to that site. You can print off the confirmation sheet and send it in with your child/children on March 28th for the non-uniform day. Or again, purchase your ticket(s) on the Eventbrite site today and since we are able to track the site we will have a running list of all participants so we can check your child off on March 28th.
2. An even better way to participate in the non-uniform day is to become the newest member of the Home Tour Hundred Club as a parent patron. Send in a completed Parent Patron Order Form with your student on March 28 along with a check made payable to the Marist Parents' Club for $100. Benefits include two tickets to the home tour and special recognition of your generous support on both our website and in the home tour booklet which serves as everyone's admission ticket to each of our featured homes as well as a delicious luncheon catered poolside by Cafe Pharr. Click
here to access the Parent Patron Form to join your friends and become our newest member! Again, feel free to complete and return this form and your check right now, per the instructions on the form. A running list of participants will enable us to check off your child/children as they arrive out of uniform on March 28. Please contact the parent patron chair, Kathy Cote, at
kcote@att.net with any questions.
3. For all of the above information and so much more, please go to our website at
https://www.marist.com/tourofhomes. Please also remember that the success of the Marist Tour of Homes depends on three things: ticket sales, sponsors, and volunteers. If you have a business or do business with a contractor, designer, doctor, car dealer, landscaper, restaurant, etc., please consider asking them to sponsor this highly anticipated and well-attended event. Sponsorship levels and forms are available on the website or click
here.
Calling all volunteers! Please contact our volunteer chair, Peggy Jackson, at
tourofhomes@marist.com to sign up right now while you are thinking about it. Peggy will schedule shifts so all volunteers are able to tour every home and enjoy the poolside luncheon.
Margaret Nelson and Carla Kalil, co-chairs of the Marist Tour of Homes, are looking forward to checking your kids off on the non-uniform day, March 28, and personally greeting you and your friends on Friday, May 11, on the home tour. Remember, Friday May 11th is the start of Mother's Day weekend. Treat yourself; you so deserve it. Or, drop a hint or two or three to your family that a ticket to the Marist Tour of Homes would make a great gift! See you all May 11th!
