Since 1912, War Eagle Fever has electrified the air as fans have cheered the team on to numerous victories. The varsity team’s consistent winning seasons have placed it in the Top 5 best in the state of Georgia. Marist has 7th, 8th, and 9th grade football teams, as well as junior varsity and varsity levels.

Marist Kicker Austin Hardin Receives Special Team Player-of-the-Year Award from Atlanta Touchdown Club

Senior kicker Austin Hardin received the Atlanta Touchdown Club's Special Team Player-of-the-Year for the Atlanta Metro area from representatives of the club on Thursday Feb 16.  Presenting the award was Scott Cook, Jim Arnett, Dennis Caniglia and Lee Baker.

Hardin is the 4th Marist War Eagle to receive Player-of-the-Year honors from the Atlanta Touchdown Club, which is the oldest such organization in the US.

Also in attendance was Head Football Coach Alan Chadwick and Austin's father, Rick.  Austin has signed to play at The University of Florida next season.

Another War Eagle Signs to Play College Football

Senior long snapper Trae Lewis signed his Letter-of-Intent to play football at Georgia southern on Monday morning.  Trae is a 3-year varsity player and was named to the 2011 All-Region 6-AAAA Team and selected to play in the GA High School All-Star Senior Bowl. 

Cashdan, Coughlin and Haviland Receive Scholarship Awards

Marist War Eagle football players Danny Coughlin and Jonah Cashdan along with varsity football team student-manager Rachel Haviland received their scholarship awards from the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame at the Awards Breakfast held at the Atlanta Mariott Marquis on Friday, Dec 30.

Two War Eagles Named to AJC All-State Football Team

Seniors Nick Brigham and Austin Hardin were named to the AJC's AAAA All-State Football Team.  Brigham has been selected for the third time, is committed to the University of Maryland and Austin Hardin has been named for the second consecutive year and has committed to the University of Florida.

Marist has 5 Named to All-County Football Team

Five War Eagles were recently named to the All-DeKalb County Football Team as selected by the DeKalb County Coaches Association.
