As of May 11, the Georgia Department of Revenue has approved over $20 million for the 2012 Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program, proving the program is quickly gaining popularity. This time last year, the state had approved only $9 million in tax credits. We expect the Department of Revenue to reach its $51.5 million cap as early as August.

Marist School is partnered with Georgia GOAL, a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) created through the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program. This program enables Georgia residents, corporations, and trusts the opportunity to designate a portion of their state tax liability to the school's financial aid program. While participation in the program is not a charitable donation, it provides critical funding for tuition assistance.
