Mrs. Angela DorseyVice President for Institutional Advancement (770) 936-2284 Year Appointed: 2009 Furman University - BA University of Georgia - MEd Angela Dorsey joined Marist School in September 2009 as Vice President for Institutional Advancement. She provides strategic vision and leadership for the school’s fundraising efforts, including annual giving, capital giving, and planned giving.
Angela brings to Marist more than 15 years of development experience, including serving as Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement at The Westminster Schools, Vice President of Development & Marketing at St. Jude’s Recovery Center, and Director of Student Programs at the YMCA at Virginia Tech.
Over the years, Angela has contributed to the field of development by serving as a presenter for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS). She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Atlanta Chapter.
Angela received her B.A. from Furman University and her M.Ed. from the University of Georgia. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Jed, and daughters, Riley and Ellie.

 Mrs. Meeghan FortsonDirector of Development (770) 936-2282 Year Appointed: 2010 Middlebury College - BA
Meeghan Fortson joined Marist School in July 2010 as Director of Development. She oversees annual giving, reunion giving, the Georgia GOAL program, and the day-to-day management of the Advancement Office.
Meeghan brings extensive experience to Marist having worked in development at Harvard University and most recently as the director of alumni relations and annual giving at The Westminster Schools.
Meeghan grew up in Atlanta and is a graduate of The Westminster Schools. She received her B.A. from Middlebury College in Vermont. She lives in East Atlanta with her husband, Rob, and their two sons, Grant and Thomas.

 Mrs. Nicole BradyMajor Gifts Officer (770) 936-2221 Year Appointed: 2012 Boston University - BS Nicole Brady joined Marist School in July 2012. In her role as Major Gifts Officer, she raises awareness about the school’s funding priorities and works with donors to make capital and planned gifts to Marist.
Nicole brings extensive experience to Marist having worked in development at Princeton University, most recently as Associate Director of Capital Giving. Prior to that, she lived and worked in New York City and held fundraising and communications positions at The Doe Fund and Carolina Herrera.
Nicole received her B.S. in Communication from Boston University. She and her husband, Kevin, live in East Cobb with their daughter, Caitlin.

 Ms. Shannon CarneyExecutive Assistant (770) 936-6424 Year Appointed: 2012 University of Georgia - BA Shannon Carney joined the Marist School Office for Institutional Advancement in March 2012. As the Executive Assistant, she provides administrative support to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and the Director of Development.

 Ms. Kathryn FowlerAdvancement Associate & Campus Ministry Assistant (770) 936-2277 Year Appointed: 2011 Purdue University - BS Grad Year: 2006 Katie Fowler, a 2006 graduate of Marist School, joined the Advancement Office in April 2012. In her role as Advancement Associate, she plans Advancement events, assists with coordination of our capital campaign volunteers, and helps with other campaign related tasks. She also works part-time in Campus Ministry during the school year. Prior to joining the Advancement Office Katie assisted the Alumni Office starting in the fall of 2011.
Katie received her B.S. from Purdue University in 2010, and is happy to be back in Atlanta at her alma mater.

 Mrs. Katie KingDatabase Assistant (770) 936-6462 Year Appointed: 2012 University of Georgia - BA Katie King joined Marist School in August 2012. Katie’s primary role as the Database Assistant is to oversee gift processing. She also assists the Database Manager with overseeing the school’s fundraising database that includes maintaining all contact, demographic and financial data for the nearly 20,000 Marist School constituents.
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Carter.

 Mrs. Annie MinorAnnual Fund Manager (770) 936-1366 Year Appointed: 2011 Oglethorpe University - BA Agnes Scott College - MAT Annie Minor joined Marist School in December 2011 as Annual Fund Manager. She coordinates the day-to-day projects that support the Annual Fund.
Annie brings experience to Marist from her work as Development Associate at the International Community School (ICS) in Decatur, Georgia.
Annie received her B.A. from Oglethorpe University and her M.A.T. from Agnes Scott College. She and her husband, Charlie, live in East Atlanta. |
 Mrs. Lexy (Barton) MizellDatabase Manager (770) 936-6483 Year Appointed: 2007 University of Georgia - BA Grad Year: 2003 Lexy Barton Mizell joined Marist School in May 2007. As Database Manager, Lexy oversees the school's fundraising database and maintains all contact, demographic, and financial data for the nearly 20,000 Marist School constituents. She also serves as the primary liaison between Advancement, the Business Office, and Information Systems.
Lexy graduated from Marist School in 2003. In 2007, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Lexy is married to Devin Mizell, Marist School class of 2001. They welcomed their first daughter, Sloan, in April 2011. |
