Marist graduate Laura Eddy ('09) was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman Soccer Player of the Year as voted by the league coaches.  Eddy was selected to the 2nd Team All-SEC and is the  third Georgia Bulldog in hte last 3 seasons to be named Freshman of the Year.  She was the only freshman in the league to be named to the first or second All-SEC teams and was a unanimous choice for the award.
Laura played center back for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and helped lead the Bulldogs to 14 wins for just the 4th time in school history.

Senior Alex Perrotta has signed to play soccer with Birmingham Southern College. Alex plays left back/defense for Marist, and has been a varsity starter for two years. He lives in Atlanta with his parents, Joe Perrotta and Teresa Bailey.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas has selected Marist senior Laura Eddy to the 2008 NSCAA/Adidas High School Girls All-America Soccer team.  Laura is one of only two players in the state of GA. to receive this award for her play during the 2008 High School Soccer season.
