Marist School Advancement Assistant
This position is responsible for overall administrative assistance to the Director of Development as well as the coordination of Annual Fund mailings and emails, volunteers, and events. This position also provides general support to the Advancement Office and administrative assistance to the Major Gifts Officer as needed. The position is one which requires an individual who is highly organized, extremely detail oriented, highly competent using Microsoft Office software (including Microsoft Word and Excel), enjoys managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced office environment, and can work well with volunteers and staff. The Advancement Assistant must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent grammar and proof reading ability. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge is preferred.
Qualifications: To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A bachelor’s degree is required with at least 1-3 years of work experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in event planning, alumni relations, and/or development. A qualified individual must be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office software (including Microsoft Word and Excel). Knowledge of development software, The Raiser's Edge, is desirable. The hours for this position are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend commitments. This is a year-round, staff position.
