The Marist Way theme for the 2021-2022 academic year is "To reflect on the place of Nazareth." A primary focus of the theme calls on us to reflect on the place, Nazareth, where “Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and people” (Lk 2:52). Nazareth is a place where we might return to foundational things and live a simplified life in service of God and others. It’s a place where we might, like Mary did, “ponder these things in her heart” (Lk 2:51).
From the Marist perspective, “Nazareth is a place of the heart: it is a place of silence and of faith; a centre point of stillness and tranquility. Nazareth is the place where we can learn the wisdom that comes from seeing things from God’s point of view” (A Certain Way 88).”

We look forward to exploring this theme throughout the year.
