Curtis Engsberg came to Marist in 2014, serving first as an assistant coach for the boys’ varsity soccer team before becoming the third head coach of the girls’ varsity team in the 2021-2022 school year.
Coach Engsberg’s teams have continued the program’s legacy of excellence. Through three seasons, the team has a 52-7-3 record, finishing as AAAAAA runner-up in 2023 and winning the 2022 AAAA and 2024 AAAAAA state championships. Much of this success can be attributed to the deep relationships the team works to develop with each other on and off the field.
Prior to Marist, Engsberg worked at Chamblee Charter High School, coaching the girls’ varsity soccer team from 2012-2014. During his tenure, the team compiled a 35-16-1 record and won the first state playoff game in program history.
