Out of an abundance of concern for the well-being of our alumni and the community, and in keeping with CDC guidance on social distancing, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all class parties scheduled to take place over Reunion Weekend 2020. Additionally, the Welcome Back BBQ and 30th Annual Golf Tournament have been canceled for this year.
The Alumni Office has been in contact with your reunion committee, and the decision has been made to move your class party to next spring. Your party will now take place as a part of Reunion Weekend 2021, which is scheduled for April 30-May, 3, 2021.
We know how disappointing this may be to hear and want you to know that it was not a decision we made lightly. We would like to especially thank your reunion planning committee for the time and dedication that they put into planning your reunion. More details will be shared about your rescheduled reunion in the coming months. All orders will be refunded over the next two weeks, but please let me know if you have any issues.
Additionally, we would like to thank those who have contributed to Marist School’s Annual Fund in honor of their reunion. Your investment truly strengthens the educational experience of all Marist students. During this unprecedented time, Marist administrators, faculty, and staff and have come together to deliver the same quality education for which we are known through a virtual learning environment. Teachers have been working tirelessly to prepare meaningful lessons that are being taught remotely, and support continues to be available through Counseling, Campus Ministry, and the Academic Center offices to ensure our students are well cared for during this transition. All of this great work is made possible by our benefactors, and we are grateful for our alumni and the continued support you provide to Marist! If you have not made a gift and would like to support this year’s Annual Fund in honor of your milestone reunion year, you can do so by visiting Marist’s Reunion Giving webpage.
At this time we will continue to monitor and follow school and CDC guidelines regarding future alumni events. Please visit marist.com/alumni for more information. As always, the Alumni Office is here to support you in any way. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need of assistance. We pray that you and your family stay well, and we will look forward to seeing you soon.
