Career Connections

Marist’s Career Connections internship program provides juniors the opportunity to gain real-world experience and explore career interests in a variety of industries. Internships can last a day, a few weeks, or longer and give host companies an extra set of hands and the fresh perspectives and ideas of students who are being formed to do good in the world.

Marist’s college counseling department and the Alumni Office collaborate to recruit host companies and manage the student application and selection process.

Can Your Company Host an Intern?

Marist interns are bright, hard-working young people open to learning and helping. Whether your company is large of small, you can structure and offer an internship at your convenience.

My intern was incredibly engaged and curious. It was inspiring to see the same curiosity and commitment to excellence that Marist instills in its students being brought into the professional environment. I would encourage fellow alumni in the Marist community to get involved. It provides a meaningful way to give back to the school through its students and to make an investment in the next generation.Katelyn Hunt Fredericks ’04 Attorney at Nelson Mullins

The opportunity to work with these highly motivated students, give them real-world experience, and hopefully motivate them to continue to pursue their goals was very cool.Dr. Joshua LovelockCardiac Electrophysiologist at CardioVascular Group of Gwinnett

Our firm is a proud participant in the Marist Career Connections Program. We’ve benefited equally from our exposure to the hard-working, intelligent, and talented young people who’ve spent time with us. We believe the program is a small way for us to give back and expose students to a possible career in the legal industry. In many cases, they return after graduation to clerk with us throughout college.Marty N. MartensonPartner at Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP, Marist School Board of Trustees
