As part of Marist School’s recent Strategic Planning Process, campus safety emerged as a top priority, and we are pleased to share several new initiatives designed to further protect our students, faculty, and staff during the school day.
Marist has partnered with the City of Brookhaven to have an armed guard on campus throughout the school day. In addition, new procedures for campus visitors are now in place. Guests are only permitted on campus between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. if they have a pre-approved meeting with a faculty or staff member. Upon arrival, all guests will go through a streamlined check-in process that includes screening before being granted access. At this time, unannounced visitors will be turned away and asked to schedule an appointment for a future date.
We want to reassure you that alumni and parents of alumni are always welcome on campus with an appointment, and our team is here to help make those visits easy to arrange. You may contact the Alumni Office directly, or you can reach out to a specific faculty or staff member via the Marist School Faculty & Staff directory. We are always happy to assist in coordinating your visit and look forward to continuing to connect you with our community.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and support as we put these measures in place. These steps reflect Marist’s ongoing commitment to providing a safe and secure environment where our students can thrive academically, spiritually, and personally.
