Prayer Requests & Faith Resources

The Marist Alumni Office is available to help provide support to the alumni community through prayer and other spiritual resources.
Pastoral Care
Marist School Alumni Chaplain Father Mark Kenney, S.M. provides pastoral care, support, and guidance during times of need. Whether you are seeking spiritual counsel, looking to reconnect with your faith, or need someone to talk to, Father Kenney is available to help.
Prayer Requests
Prayer request emails are sent to alumni and parents of alumni (covering two years before and after graduation/children’s graduation) when alumni, parents of alumni, siblings of alumni, or spouses of alumni pass away or are in need of prayer due to illness. We do not send prayer requests for grandparents unless they are also alumni or parents of alumni of Marist School.
Prayer request emails are a call for prayer and do not serve as initial announcements of illness or death as they go through a draft and approval process with the family.
“The Society of Mary must not forget its students when, having finished their studies, they are out in the world, but it shall try as best it can, through those Marists charged with their care, to provide for their perseverance and salvation, so that they may make even greater strides in the spirit and principles they imbibed while directly under its care.”

Our Lady of Lourdes Comes Home to You
In 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France, leading to the establishment of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Annually, six million pilgrims visit Lourdes seeking physical and spiritual healing. Recognized miracles include 70 by the Roman Catholic Church and 2,000 unexplained cures by the International Medical Committee of Lourdes. To honor this tradition, Marist community members will bring an Our Lady of Lourdes statue and Lourdes Water to your home, hoping to provide the same healing and comfort. Special thanks to Dr. Mario J.R. Ravry and his family for this initiative.
