Academic Honors Night Recognizes Student Achievements for 2018-2019 School Year

Marist School recognized the academic achievements of many students during the 2018-2019 school year at Academic Honors Night on August 22, 2019.
Marist School Principal Mr. Kevin Mullally opened the ceremony by commending the students who were being honored for their hard work and effort. He also emphasized that while academics is one of the central goals for schools run by the Marists, it is at the intersection of academics, discipleship, and character where future success lies. He said, “It turns out that the biggest predictor of future success, the kind Marist is preparing you for, isn’t the grade or award you get—it’s the motivation behind the work you do.”

Students who maintain a designated percentage average for each term of the school year are recognized as Honor Roll or Dean’s List scholars (9th-12th grades) or Blue Award or Gold Award scholars (7th-8th grades) for that year. Students meeting the requirements are given a certificate and pin.

The class medal is awarded to the student who has achieved the highest percentage average in his or her grade. The medal recipients recognized for the 2018-2019 school year are, as follows:
