  • Alumni Plaza

Alumni Plaza is at the heart of Marist School’s campus. Centrally located between our two main classroom buildings (St. Peter Chanel Hall and Ivy Street Center) and Wooldridge Center, which houses the new Goizueta Center for Immersive Experience & Design, library, Tech Center, and Marist Academic Center, Alumni Plaza is a constant hub of activity and a main thoroughfare. It is also a popular spot to study, enjoy lunch outdoors, visit with friends, and gather before athletic events.
  • Arcade, Cafeteria, & Dining Area

Marist School’s Arcade, which hearkens back to our roots as an all-boys Catholic military school when cadets needed a place to march on rainy days, is our “town square” where War Eagle spirit is alive throughout the day. Located at one end of the Arcade is Whitehead Cafeteria, which features upper and lower dining areas. Nearby is the unique glass-enclosed Marist Parents Club Dining Area, which the students affectionately call “the bubble.”
  • Art Gallery & Studios

Marist School’s art gallery displays the work of our talented visual arts students in grades 7 through 12, who have the opportunity to study all levels of drawing, painting, and ceramics, as well as photography. Well-supplied art and ceramic studios are open, brightly lit spaces that encourage creativity. Student artwork is often published in Marist’s award-winning visual and literary arts magazine, the Rapier.

The gallery is also a popular place on campus for special events such as the Latin American Studies Culture Club Reception and poetry slams hosted by the Office of Inclusion & Diversity.
  • Aquatic Center

Marist School’s aquatic center provides an opportunity for swimmers to hone their skills with a 25-yard, eight-lane pool and diving well.
  • Bishop Gunn Administration Center

The Bishop Gunn Administration Center houses the administrative offices as well as the visual art studios and gallery. Additionally, Marist's Office for Inclusion & Diversity and the Society of Mary-sponsored Centro Hispano Marista have offices in the building.
  • Centennial Center

Centennial Center seats 1,500 for meetings, assemblies, and Masses, and serves as an all-purpose center for the Marist community. Young Gym within Centennial Center features a basketball/volleyball court, and the facility also houses athletic offices, locker rooms, and a weight room.
  • Esmond Brady Memorial Chapel

A gift from Esmond Brady, the chapel is the spiritual center of the Marist School community. Daily Mass for the Marist community is offered here each morning at 7:30 a.m.
  • Fr. Hartnett Building

Named for a past president of Marist School, the Fr. Hartnett Building houses Marist’s Office for Institutional Advancement, which is responsible for the development, alumni, and communications efforts for the school. The Fr. Hartnett Building also is the location of the McDaniel Sachs Conference Room.
  • Hughes Spalding Stadium

Fans have enjoyed watching the War Eagles in action at the Hughes Spalding Memorial Stadium since 1970.
  • Ivy Street Center

Ivy Street Center, which was completed in 2014, features 17 classrooms and faculty offices for the English and mathematics departments as well as meeting spaces, the Campus Store, the Connolly Lecture Hall, and Kuhrt Gym. Its name pays homage to Marist School’s original campus on Ivy Street in downtown Atlanta. Winchester Lobby in Ivy Street Center is a popular gathering space for students and is used often for special events.
  • St. Peter Chanel Hall

Serving as the true heart of the school, the recently renovated St. Peter Chanel Hall is where the majority of academic classes occur. Campus Ministry and the Counseling Office are also housed in this building. Underneath St. Peter Chanel Hall is the Arcade which contains a glass-walled dining and events space named in honor of Marist Parents Club.
  • Woodruff Auditorium

Woodruff Auditorium is home to Marist's innovative theater program as well as the venue for dance, band, and choral performances. Each year, drama students rehearse to present three to four outstanding theater productions to enthusiastic audiences in Woodruff Auditorium. Marist presents two musicals each spring—one for high school and one for 7th and 8th grade students. The theater program has participated in the Disney Theatrical Licensing Pilot Program. Students also have opportunities to participate behind the scenes, serving in theater tech roles in support of every production. Marist’s theater director and technical director are professional working artists who weave creative and innovative approaches into every production.
  • Wooldridge Center

Wooldridge Center is home to the new Goizueta Center for Immersive Experience and Design, which aims to help students build empathy through exploring the intersection between Global and Humane Studies and STEAM areas such as Robotics, Engineering, 3D Design and Printing, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Immersive Media and Media Studies, Podcasting, Broadcasting, Documentary Filmmaking, and Music Technology.

The Marist School Library, where students learn critical research skills, is located on the second floor of Wooldridge Center. Inside the library is the Marist Way Reading Room, which houses a collection of books about the Society of Mary and features rotating displays of artifacts from places the Marists have served since the order was founded by Father Jean-Claude Colin in France in 1816. The reading room serves as a permanent resource for the school community to learn about the many contributions the Society of Mary has made to the Catholic Church across the world and to Marist School.

Also located in Wooldridge Center is the Tech Center that supports Marist’s integrated use of technology, including a 1:1 laptop program; the Marist Academic Center, which is dedicated to providing academic resources to all students at Marist; and the Society of Mary-sponsored Reach for Excellence offices.

At the side entrance of Wooldridge Center facing the Arcade is the Synagoga and Ecclesia in Our Time sculpture that inspires generations of students to live a life of friendship with the Jewish people. Commemorating the Vatican’s landmark Nostra Aetate declaration that ushered in a new era for Jewish-Christian relations, the sculpture was dedicated on October 13, 2021.
