  • Congratulations to Marist School's 2018 Language Honor Society Inductees

    The French, German, and Spanish honor societies have recognized Marist School students who have displayed exemplary academic achievement in the study of these languages. The following students took part in an induction ceremony on November 8, during which they pledged to continue to master their language and expand their cultural awareness of the people who speak the language. Congratulations to Marist’s 2018 French, German, and Spanish honor society inductees!

  • Environmental Science Class Seeks to Improve Marist’s Campus

    Environmental Science is a project-based class offered to juniors and seniors at Marist School. Students learn about environmental issues that are affecting the school community and then design projects to bring positive change to the issues. These projects all fall under the umbrella of The Terra Project, Marist’s environmental and sustainability program.

  • Marching Band Celebrates Successful 2018 Season

    The Marist School Marching Band has put on great halftime shows this 2018 season and has received top marks in competition. This year’s performance features music from the iconic musician David Bowie, including the hit songs “Major Tom,” “Space Oddity,” and “Fashion.” The marching band leadership for the 2018 season is composed of Drum Major John Sexton ’19, Field Commander MinhChau Bui ’19, Band Captain Fallon Smith ’20, Pit Captain Abby Lauterbach ’19, Percussion Captain Isabella Macaluso ’19, and Color Guard Captain Kelley Hughes ’19.

  • Marist Theater Presents Original Work and Continues Collaboration with Disney

    Students in Marist School’s drama program, known for putting on groundbreaking and entertaining shows, had to put their skills to the test this year. From September 26 through 29, they presented YOUTopia: We Put the ‘APP’ in ‘HAPPY’, a completely original work devised by Marist students under the guidance of artists from Serenbe Playhouse. Less than month later, Marist Theater presented Marvel One Acts!, two brand new one-act plays from Disney that take place in the Marvel Comics universe.

  • Cross Country Girls Win AAAA State - Boys Finish 2nd

    The Lady War Eagle Varsity Cross Country Team won their 11th consecutive State Championship at Carrollton last Saturday.  Marist (42 pts) finished in First Place over St Pius X (60-pts) and region rival Blessed Trinity (64-pts).  Marist was led by Individual Medalist senior Kathleen Maley with a winning time of 19:22.17.  Lucy Jewell Watson (8th Place) and Nora Solomon (9th Place) helped secure the trophy and earned All-State Honors with Top 10 finishes.  Overall, the team placed 6 runners in the Top 14 for an incredible effort.

    The boys finished as AAAA State Runner-Up behind St Pius X.  The War Eagles finished ahead of 3rd Place Blessed Trinity with North Oconee and White County rounding out the Top 5.  Marist senior Leif Andersen was the Individual Medalist with a winning time of 16:17.75.  This if the fourth State Runner-Up finish for the boys to along with their 7 State Championships in the past 11 years.  Marist and St Pius  X have dominated the AAAA State Cross Country Meet the past 5 years with each team finishing either first or second.

  • Cross Country Runners Leif Andersen & Kathleen Maley Selected To Atlanta Track Club All-Metro Team

    Marsit Senior Cross Country standouts Leif Andersen and Kathleen Maley have been selected to the Atlanta Track Club's All-Metro Team.  This is a prestigious honor for both and comes after each were Individual Medalist at the AAAA State Cross Country Meet last Saturday in Carrollton.

  • Kyle Hamilton Jersey Presentation for All-American Bowl

    War Eagle Football senior Kyle Hamilton was honored at the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday, October 30 by the 2019 All-American Bowl as an invitee to play and will receive his game jersey.

    The 2019 All-American Bowl will be played on January 5, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas and televised by NBC Sports.
