Alumni Share Why They Loved Playing in Band at Marist

Several Marist School alumni, including Major League Baseball player Kyle Farmer ’09, share why they loved playing in the band program while they were students at Marist. Captured on video, their testimonials can be viewed at marist.com/bandtestimonials.
All Marist 7th and 8th graders participate in band or chorus, and many continue during their high school years. The various band ensembles, under the direction of Band Director Mark Craddock and Assistant Band Director Aaron Schmitt, perform numerous times each year while the Marist School Marching Band and Color Guard can be seen and heard at all football games and often at competitions and parades.

With a long history at Marist, the band program as well as Marist’s other fine arts offerings all play an important role in the fulfillment of the school’s mission to form the whole person in the image of Christ.
