Kennedy Walls '20 holding first free flue shot clinic for refugee children in Clarkston

Kennedy Walls '20 is the Founder and CEO of Aid the Journey, Inc. (ATJ) which is a grassroots 501(c)3
organization providing free medical grade supplies and feminine hygiene packs
to refugees. Aid the Journey, Inc. is delivering treats, not tricks this Halloween, holding its first
free flu shot clinic for refugee children in Clarkston. The grassroots nonprofit has Partnered with
the Board-certified physicians of Kids Doc On Wheels for this event.
Aid the Journey’s Free Flu Shot Clinic is taking place at 4112 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Clarkston,
GA 30021 on October 31, 2020 between 12:00PM and 4:00PM. This is a walk-up, first-come, firstserved
free clinic. Social distancing precautions will be in place.

With scientists warning of a potentially rough winter as the pandemic and flu season collide, Aid
the Journey is proud to serve as a flu fighter and provide its first free flu clinic. Aid the Journey is
paying Kids Doc On Wheels for the refugee’s immunizations. Kids Doc On Wheels is donating the
time of their Board-certified doctors and the medical team, plus use of their 40’ mobile medical
unit to safely and confidentially provide free flu shots for children from six months old through 18
years.

Aid the Journey’s Free Flu Clinic also provides free first aid kits, period packs containing organic
feminine hygiene products and critical COVID-19 kits including thermometers plus reusable and
sustainable face masks developed per CDC recommendations. Additional event Community
Partners include Art of Life Photography, Refuge Coffee Co. providing coffee and hot
chocolate, along with Dr. Portia Grayson Williams and the Buckhead Smile Center, who will be
on-site, providing free dental kits for each child immunized. Every refugee immunized will leave
with an eco-tote bag filled with medical necessities plus refugees will be treated to free boxed
lunch and Halloween goodies, provided by Aid the Journey.
