Campus Ministry is an integral part of Marist School.  Students are involved in Campus Ministry before they even set foot on campus for the first time as a student.

In the spring, prior to the student's 7th grade year, each student is assigned a Peer Leader.  The student has an opportunity to meet their Peer Leader in April prior to the school year starting in August.  The student's Peer Leader will get together with the student over the summer, and they will do activities with other new students so that all students start the school year off already knowing others in their grade.

Foundations students can serve as Altar Servers during both daily Masses and all-school Masses throughout the year.  They also have the opportunity to be a part of Music Ministry, which is responsible for music during prayer services and Masses.

There are two retreat opportunities for Foundations students.  In the fall of a student's 7th-grade year, they can attend the Damascus Retreat.  In the winter of their 8th-grade year, they can attend the Antioch Retreat.

Over Christmas break, Foundations students also have an opportunity to participate in a mission trip especially for them.
  • Clubs

There are a variety of clubs that Foundations students can get involved in.  Most clubs meet during Activity Period.

    Environmental Club
    Honor Guard
    MOSAIC Diversity Club
    Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)
Students for Life, Dignity, and Justice
  • Fine Arts

Marist believes that exposure to and participation in the performing arts enhances the educational experience of the child and helps form the whole person.  All Foundations students are enrolled in either band or chorus during both their 7th and 8th-grade years.  Students can take Drama and/or Art Forms and Design in addition to their band or chorus class.

All Foundations students are eligible and encouraged to try out for All-State Band and Chorus.  Band students can be a part of one of several band ensembles and/or the Jazz Band. Students in the 8th grade can participate in Marching Band or Color Guard.

Each spring, Foundations students are encouraged to participate in the Junior High Musical, either on stage as a cast member or behind the scenes as part of the stage and technical crew.
  • Foundations House Council

Foundations House Council is part of Marist School's Student Government Association but represents the interests of Foundations students. Foundations House Council is responsible for helping plan events for the year.

Each house has two representatives; one from the 7th-grade homeroom, and one from the 8th-grade homeroom.  House Council Officers are elected from 8th graders who served on House Council as 7th graders. The officer positions are co-president, secretary, treasurer, and chaplain.

Elections for Foundations House Council Officers take place in May each year. Elections for Foundations House Council Representatives take place in September of each year.
