  • Co-Curricular Trips

Marist offers a variety of co-curricular trips designed to engage students' interest and expand their knowledge in diverse ways.
AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles
This trip to the AFI Film Festival is for students enrolled in the Film and Literature course.  Students will attend the film festival, talk to directors, tour the Universal Studios backlot, and see a film at one of Hollywood's historic theaters.

    Art History Spring Break Trip
Dr. Bieze traditionally offers a trip for students enrolled in AP Art History during spring break.  In 2013, students will travel to Barcelona, Spain, and Paris, France, to visit museums and other sites of interest.  This trip is also open to students enrolled in AP U.S. History.

    NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference
This trip offers students the chance to network with students from other independent schools and learn new skills to increase their awareness of issues surrounding diversity in the Marist community and in the larger world.  Participation in this trip is by invitation only.

    Bearing Witness Trip
The primary mission of the trip is to advance and disseminate knowledge about this unprecedented tragedy, the Holocaust, to preserve the memory of those who suffered, and to encourage students to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the events of the Holocaust as well as their own responsibilities as citizens of a democracy.  This trip is open to students in grades 10-12; should interest exceed the number of spaces available, preference will be given to seniors and/or those students who have taken or will be taking the Holocaust course at Marist.

Fine Arts Trip to New York City
Open to students in the Marist fine arts program by invitation, this trip takes place in early April.  Students participate in a choral workshop and a musical theater workshop as well as attend three Broadway shows.

    Spoleto Study Abroad
Marist participates in a consortium with other independent schools in the United States to offer this three-week program in Spoleto, Italy.  It is open by application to students ages 15-19 who are interested in the humanities and wish to study vocal music, visual arts, drama, photography, and creative writing.
