Community Service

Outreach to the community is essential to the Marist spirit, especially service to people who are poor, marginalized, or underserved.  Both adults and students are provided many opportunities to serve their neighbors in need:

Marist School's commitment to service is reflected in the commitment that all students make to participate in a certain number of service hours before graduation.

Marist students and faculty participate in two international and three domestic mission trips each year.

Parents, faculty, staff, and alumni are needed for several service projects such as homeless shelter supervision, meal preparation for shelters, delivering gifts at Thanksgiving and Christmas, supervising Habitat for Humanity, and many other projects.

Students of Marist participate in building a house in the fall. The student club raises funds and awareness all year long.

Since 2001, Marist Women Build has invited moms, female students (16 years old), faculty, alumni, and friends to participate in this unique opportunity to build as a Marist community of women.

Team and Class Service Projects
All Marist teams and classes are expected to complete at least one service project during the school year.
