Let's Pray Together

MMPG is an interdenominational prayer faith group, comprised of Marist Mothers that gather once a month to pray together for our children, families, and the entire Marist Community. Our History

Marist moms have been a vital part of the Marist community since the school was established more than a century ago, working behind the scenes to support not only their children, but also the mission and daily activities of Marist School. In 1979, a group of these moms got together to form the Marist Mothers Prayer Group (MMPG), a multidenominational group whose participants believe that one of the best things we can do for our teenage children is PRAY!

Over the last 40 years, the faces have changed, but the concept remains the same—prayer is a source of strength and a tremendous way to connect to the Marist community and especially to Marist mothers of all grades. On the first Friday morning every month of the school year, the MMPG gathers to pray for the needs of the Marist students, faculty, staff, and families. MMPG is open to anyone who would like to attend—there are no dues and no requirements. The monthly meetings consist of coffee/fellowship at 8:30 a.m.. Note: These times are a change from last year. Moms are welcome to drop by anytime; come as you are, casual clothes are welcome!

In lieu of the February meeting, MMPG holds an annual day retreat for past and present Marist moms. Engaging guest speakers are featured each year, and a lovely luncheon is included. Other MMPG activities include hosting a faculty brunch each term, writing Emmaus Retreat letters for all attendees and supporting various charitable causes under the umbrella of Marist School’s Campus Ministry.
