MWB Build Day

  • Builders report to the lobby of Centennial at 6:45 a.m. to carpool to the work site.
  • Builders are expected to stay the full work day which ends around 4:30 p.m., returning to Marist by 5:00 p.m.
  • Volunteers can purchase MWB pink hardhats and hammer pins on build day.
  • Hardhats are required on Build Days 1-3 and are available to borrow from Atlanta Habitat if needed.
  • Workers should wear closed-toed shoes and consider long pants.
  • All supplies and tools will be provided. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own work gloves.
  • Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
  • All volunteers receive the annual t-shirt designed exclusively for MWB by Mike Luckovich.
  • On Build Day 1, carpools first drive to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Warehouse, then split between the warehouse and construction site to work until lunch when all reconvene at the construction site. On all other build days, carpools drive from Marist directly to the construction site.
  • This is a real construction site. Be prepared to work hard and get dirty. We build rain or shine.
