Parents are essential partners and active participants in a Marist education. A strong parent-school relationship helps advance excellence and enhance the student experience. Marist School has a longstanding tradition of parent involvement in community activities and philanthropic initiatives.
Parents are a vital part of the Marist School community, lending support for all areas of the school.
The Marist Parents Club fosters the intellectual and cultural life of students, promotes an understanding and cooperative spirit among parents, faculty, and administration, and cultivates a spirit of fellowship among parents. All parents and guardians of Marist students are members of the Marist Parents Club, and there are many ways to volunteer and get involved. In the Marist tradition, the Parents Club supports Marist School through community-building activities, fundraising, and appreciation events.
The Marist Arts Guild (MAG) supports and promotes the arts at Marist School, fostering excellence for students and faculty involved in band, chorus, dance, theater, and visual arts programs. MAG membership and philanthropic initiatives provide funding for a wide variety of needs of the Fine Arts Department including instruments, art materials, choral attire, band uniforms, and more. Marist Arts Guild memberships are available at a variety of levels and volunteer opportunities abound, offering everyone in the Marist community the chance to participate.
The Marist Booster Club is essential to the ongoing excellence of Marist’s athletics program, supplementing the athletic budget and encouraging enthusiastic War Eagle spirit. Through memberships, concession sales, annual golf and tennis tournaments, and other fundraisers, the Booster Club provides equipment, training, resources, and more for both students and coaches. The Booster Club encourages everyone to get involved to support Marist’s athletics program, and volunteers are always welcome.
Marist Mothers Prayer Group offers community prayer requests, monthly meetings with faith-related speakers, weekly rosary and email meditations, a bible study, and an annual retreat for mothers of all faiths.
Marist School established the first high school “women build” chapter in the world. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, the women of Marist School come together to build a home for a deserving family.
The Marist Auction is a biennial fundraising event hosted by the Marist Parents Club, Marist Arts Guild, and Marist Booster Club. The funds raised support these parent organizations, the Marist School endowment, and a special fundraising initiative to be announced.
