Marist parent of alumni, Michael Barry, has devoted a considerable amount of time and personal resources to help found The Bishop Joel M. Konzen S.M. Catholic School at Pope Francis School and Health Center in Ghana West Africa.
It is a boarding school for children afflicted with HIV and has been established in collaboration with the Ho Dioceses. The Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church, will administer the school. It will eventually educate over 200 children from Prek-4 through the 9th grade. Bishop Joel M. Konzen S.M. Catholic School will be a loving Christ filled environment that will provide world class education for children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend school. Its goal is for each child to reach their full potential. The bishop has been instrumental in supporting the establishment of this school and health center.
