On December 10, the Marist School spirit shone brightly at the second annual Alumni Light Up the Night event. Set amidst the dazzling backdrop of the Atlanta Botanical Garden's “Garden Lights, Holiday Nights”, this festive gathering welcomed hundreds of cherished alumni and their families.
From young to young at heart, the Marist alumni community came together in celebration of the Christmas season. Against a canvas of garden lights, alumni families indulged in the warmth of friendship, enjoyed delightful treats in Day Hall, and captured cherished moments at the family photo opportunity on the patio. The tunes of holiday music by Matt Osborne '85 filled the air, enhancing the festive atmosphere. The Marist community used the opportunity to deliver toy donations for the Marine Toys for Tots program, collected on site by a marine.
What truly made this evening shine was the genuine delight of being among familiar faces and creating cherished memories with one another. The coziness of shared stories and the spirit of Marist enveloped everyone. Alumni Light Up the Night continues to be a testament to the enduring connections and vibrant spirit that defines the Marist community. Thank you to all who brightened this magical night with your presence, laughter, and festive enthusiasm.
The next alumni event will be a retreat which is scheduled to take place on January 21 from 12:30-4:30 p.m. following the Family Mass and luncheon. Hosted by the Marist Alumni Board’s Service & Spirituality Committee, alumni and friends will spend time together in guided reflection to focus on how we can incorporate the characteristics of Mary into our daily lives.
