    Marist School Theater’s first production of the 2019-2020 school year is an adaptation by Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, an immersive dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families, and lovers in disguise. Named one of The New York Times’ best shows of 2017, the production also features an original folk-pop score by Shaina Taub.

  • At Camp 3790, 9th graders enjoyed teambuilding activities such as building cardboat boats and racing their creations across the pool.

    At the beginning of the school year, all Marist 9th graders participated in Camp 3790, an overnight class trip which brought together 50 new students with those who had been at Marist since 7th grade.

  • Softball Advances to Columbus with Sweep of Cairo in 2nd Round Playoffs

    Marist Softball will be returning to Columbus for the Championship Series by sweeping visiting Cairo 2-1 ands 4-0 in the 2nd Round of the AAAA State Playoffs Wednesday afternoon.  Marist will play the winner of the Oconee County / Perry series - yet to be decided, in Columbus on Thursday (Oct 24).
     
    Marist (24-4) faced a tough Cairo (18-11) that was the #2-Seed from Region 1-AAAA in South Georgia in the 2nd Round Best-of-3 Series.  In Game 1, senior pitcher Lexi Van Metre allowed only 2 hits and struck out 9 in the win and was also the clutch hitter as her sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th inning brought home Kaky Linnihan with the winning run.  Her sacrifice fly in the 5th inning scored the Lady War Eagles first run that tied the game.

    In the second game, pitcher Ashley Haertel also allowed on 2 Cairo hits and struck out 5 as Marist scored all 4 runs in the 5th inning for the win and earn the trip to Columbus.

  • Caroline Chipman '17 wins Scholar Athlete Award

    Caroline Chipman '17, current soccer player at the University of Georgia has been named a recipient of the 2019-2020 Joel Eaves Scholar-Athlete Award. This award is presented to the male and female student-athletes with the highest grade point average upon entering the fall semester of his or her senior year, based upon academic hour rather than eligibility.
