Student Government

  • Class Council Representative

    Each grade level in 9th-12th grade elect representatives for the appropriate Class Council. It is the responsibility of the representative to attend council meetings, serve on committees as appointed by the moderator, and communicate opinions and concerns from the grade to the council. Candidates must have the approval of the Coordinator of Student Government, a cumulative grade percentage average of at least 87 or a percentage average of 85 or higher for the two preceding terms, have fewer than 12 demerits total in the term in which the election is held, and the three terms preceding the election. Disciplinary violations warranting ten or more demerits in the same period disqualify candidates. Voting by the appropriate grade is conducted in the Spring. The term is from date of election until one year later. No limit on the number of candidates.

    11th Grade Moderators: Mrs. Amelia Luke & Ms. Emily Clarkson
    12th Grade Moderators: Mr. Dan Walls & Dr. Shannon Hipp
  • Class Officer

    Each grade in the high school classes is led by four officers: president, chaplain, secretary, and treasurer. For the 12th grade year there are male and female co-presidents. The officers work with the class moderator to plan spirit, social, fund raising, etc., activities for the class. Candidates must have the approval of the Coordinator of Student Government, a cumulative grade percentage average of at least 87 or a percentage average of 85 or higher for the two preceding terms, have fewer than 12 demerits total in the term in which the election is held, and the three terms preceding the election. Disciplinary violations warranting ten or more demerits in the same period disqualify candidates. Voting by the appropriate grade is conducted in the Spring. Term is from date of election until one year later. No limit on the number of candidates.

  • Student Council Officer

    The high school Student Council is the official voice of the 9th through the 12th grade students. The officers include: co‑presidents, chaplain, secretary, and treasurer. Each officer has specific duties within the organization. Candidates must have the approval of the Coordinator of Student Government, a cumulative grade percentage average of at least 87 or a percentage average of 85 or higher for the two preceding terms, have fewer than 12 demerits total in the term in which the election is held, and the three terms preceding the election. Disciplinary violations warranting ten or more demerits in the same period disqualify candidates. Voting by the rising 9th through 12th grades is conducted in the Spring. Term is from date of election until one year later. No limit on the number of candidates. 
  • Student Council Representative
