Marist Women Build

Be a Builder

Thank you for your commitment and support of Marist Women Build. We recommend all adult builders donate $200, which goes directly toward the cost of building this home. This contribution is tax deductible. However, if this $200 donation is a barrier for you to build with us, please email maristwomenbuild@marist.com.
Pay sponsorship contribution online using your credit card or PayPal account.

Step two:
Reserve your build date with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity’s VolunteerHub.

Build Day Notes

Coffee and light breakfast items are provided each morning by a generous sponsor.

  • Builders report to the lobby of Centennial at 6:30 a.m. to carpool to the work site.
  • Except for Build Day 1, which is a half-day, builders are expected to stay the full work day which ends around 3:30 p.m., returning to Marist by 4:00 p.m.
  • Volunteers can purchase MWB pink hardhats and hammer pins on build day.
  • Hardhats are required on Build Days 1-3 and are available to borrow from Atlanta Habitat if needed.
  • Workers should wear closed-toed shoes and consider long pants.
  • All supplies and tools will be provided. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belt and work gloves.
  • Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
  • All volunteers receive the annual t-shirt designed exclusively for MWB by Mike Luckovich.
  • On Build Day 1, carpools drive to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Warehouse. On all other build days, carpools drive from Marist directly to the construction site.
  • This is a real construction site. Be prepared to work hard and get dirty.
  • We build rain or shine. Bring a hat and rain gear if rain is in the forecast and sunscreen if the sun is out!
