Community Service

Student Club

Established in 1991, the Marist School chapter was the very first high school Habitat for Humanity chapter in the world. For more than 20 years, Marist students have been raising funds to build a home along with four other private schools: Pace Academy, Westminster, Lovett, and Woodward Academy.

Marist students can participate in the Habitat for Humanity extracurricular activity. Students support the work of Habitat for Humanity by raising awareness and raising funds. Marist School has committed to providing labor for the build as well as $11,000 for each annual build.

Student Build

Along with its partner schools, Marist has committed to provide eight students and one adult coordinator for seven Saturdays each fall. Students must be at least 16 years old to participate and can count their hours as direct service toward the community service requirement.

Marist Women Build

Since 2001, Marist Women Build has invited moms, female students (16 years old), faculty, alumni, and friends to participate in this unique opportunity to participate in a Habitat for Humanity build as a Marist community of women. We need helping hands (no experience necessary) and sponsors to support the build financially and make an important difference in the life of a deserving family.
